Gary Brecka made a sponsored post on instragram for Velorawellness.co where he claims that Red Yeast Rice extract (standardized for monacolin K) can be as effective as Rosuvastatin to reduce cholesterol (due to its monacolin K content, which he claims should be paired with other substances like citrus bergamot olive leaf, soursop, garlic and black pepper), without risking the well-known side effects of Rosuvastatin. He says it must be taken in liquid form because these compounds don’t absorb well in capsules. ironically, i saw a different instagram ad, also from Gary Brecka, sponsoring a separate Red Yeast Rice extract, with a combination of other supplements (coQ10, which is said to be depleted by statins and red rice extract, and some other items for healthy cholesterol and heart support). This one was from “Try Verra” and IS in pill/capsule form (which Gary said didnt work in his first advertisement for Velora Wellness). This product is called:
